Lowering Spring not sitting right?
I put the Pro-kit on my car over the weekend. When I was doing the driver's side front spring, I couldn't get it to "settle" properly in the top spring perch. I figured that when it was all put together, it would 'pop' into place. When I got everything buttoned up, the pass. side had dropped a 1/4 inch, and the drivers side was up about an inch over stock.
My question is, will this spring 'pop' into place if I drive the car? Will driving the car hurt anything? (I dont really care about tires, I have a new set to go on)
I havn't checked since it sat over night, maybe it settled on it's own?
Any thoughts / comments?
Thanks.

You should be able to look up into the top spring perch from below and verify whether the spring is seated correctly. If it's seated correctly and you haven't yet moved the vehicle the driver's side may be canted up on the control arm (the arms swing in when lifted). Rolling it a few yards will allow it to settle.
If it's not seated correctly, try again.

I had been in the garage working for hours getting strut bolts out I really just wanted get it all put together. I had hoped it would pop back in, but I guess it won't. As naf stated, I can look up there and see that it's not quite in the top perch correctly. The bottom of the spring is correctly between the two holes in the A-arm.
Oh well, I guess I'll be tearing it down again this weekend.

here's what I did..I just redid mine over the weekend...your lowing springs should be smaller than stock..so you wont need a spring compressor...
before you set the spring in, tape the rubber to the top of the spring so it doesnt move when putting it it...then put some oil on it to make is slippery.(not alot) just wipe some on there....I also put some on the bottom part of the spring so it would make it easier to move....
then set the spring in the top and align where you want to put it on the A-Arm...then you should be able to push it onto the A-arm, bend the a-arm back futher f you got to..it will come out of the cup at the top alittle but once you have pressure on the spring from jacking the A-arm up...just take a rubber hammer and pop it back into place....
worked for me
I dont care if its not the correct way to do it..but mine are in and im happy!

I did the tape thing with the rubber bushing up top, the oil is an interesting idea. Maybe I'll try that. Looks like I'll be working on this wednesday night. I'll let you all know how I make out.
Any other hints or tips are surely welcomed.

All fixed. The drivers side front was not in the top perch at all. I tore it down and re-did everything, and now both front springs sit the same height. Now I just need an adjustable panhard bar to set the rear end back in alignment. Anyone have one laying around?

Nah, no pics yet (maybe when it gets a bit warmer) but I absolutely love them. Beautiful stance, and a great ride. I have all the numbers written down somewhere, but I think the front dropped about an inch and the rears closer to a half an inch right after the install. One of these days I'll take a final measurements and post up everything with pictures.

I thought it rode the same as the prokit. I only had about a 1/2 hour of seat time in it beween getting it back on the ground and selling it though.
