will i have trouble fitting SFC's? (pics inside)

i have the edelbrock TES y-pipe that is 2.5 inches and short expansion leading to a 3 inch cat. everything is welded, id hate to have to cut up the exhaust to get SFC's on. i really dont want the SFC's that you have to weld to the entire floorpan...ive been lookin into Alstons or UMI's...i took some pics of the area...what do u guys think? will i have trouble fitting SFC's under this exhaust? (ignore the rust *** hideous y-pipe )

I have about the same setup. My sfc's I made are 1 3/4 and it does not fit. I am going to have to fudge my exhaust to make it fit. I also am using 1 3/4 round tube for the sfc's

all weld in and bolt in's usually have to have the exhaust modified, ur best bet is to just deal with it and fudge the eshaust or run thro floors like mine

thru floors are the best tho

I have SLP 1 3/4 headers. 3" in/out cat and SLP 3"catback exhaust. Installed Spohn tube type SFCs with no problems. Only had to remove the heat shield from the cat and the instruction stated that may have to be done.

no, u have to cut into the rear subframe and then line it up to the front subframes and then just cut the outline of the tubing as it gets positioned mine was only like the first 2 feet or so fromt he rear subframes and then u just weld it in and then weld it to the front subframe, if u look on the exhaust threads i just posted my new exhaust and there is a pic of the subframe...its painted back so its hard to tell but its super strong even wit the notched stock subframes and its 2x2" square steel tubing

Spohn recommends a weld every six inches if I remember correctly. Also I didn't have to lift the carpet or do anything to the interior, however I had a very good welder for installation.

I would still reccomend moving the carpet when you weld the sfc's in place. I have heard about more people starting fires or burning through more than not.
