Power Steering issue

I have another issue. I just got my car running for the first time in about three years. When I got it, I noticed that there was no power steering fluid in the reservoir. I filled it up and now it grinds when I turn the wheel. What could be causing this? I looked at the fluid again after I ran the engine and there was some bubbles in the fluid as well after I ran it. Thanks in advance.

Re: Power Steering issue

That is normal in this case. You will have to run the engine for a few minutes while turning the steering wheel back and fourth to bleed the system of air.

You will hear abnormal sounds until the air is removed.

Check for leaks when you are done.
