4 link and mini tubbed...
Hi all, I'm new to this board. I'm currently looking for a 3rd gen camaro to turn into a bracket racing car. I was wondering if anyone else on here has some install and/or finished pics of their 3rd gen with a 4 link setup and tubbed or mini tubbed with a cage.
Thanks in advance!

You technically can't "mini tub" a third gen. What could be considered frame rails in our sheet metal unibody cars are already at the inner fenders. The best you can do is to modify the inner fenders a bit to allow a bigger tire. I was able to squeeze a MT 29.5 x 10.5 slick under my fenders.
My back half project thread in the fabrication forum, as mentioned above, has lots of pictures as to what's involved in doing a back half and 4-link. Not really recommended for the average back yard mechanic with no knowledge as to what's really involved. However, if you took it into a chassis shop, the work to do it would probably be in the $5000-$10,000 range to do everything.
You can easily go bracket racing with only a few minor inner fender modifications for bigger tires without having to do a back half.

- There are several 7-8 sec factory suspension 3rd gens, many running drag radials. If you wish for more tire or other suspension, you need to read up on Stephens' articles and cut the back end out of the car.
