What's the first thing I should replace?
Hello all, I'm the proud owner of a '92 Z28. I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can help me with.
I noticed that when I'm driving the car I can feel just about every bump on the road. Is this normal? My daily driver is an '04 Jeep Liberty, so I'm used to driving a 3 year old SUV, which obviously rides much different than a 15 year old sports car! I owned an '87 Camaro, but sold it about 7 years ago so my memory is a bit fuzzy on how these cars react to the road. The car has 59,000 miles on it so, assuming everything in the suspension is original, what do you think I would have to replace to better the ride? I'd like to start replacing the cheaper parts first, so do you think I should start with getting some new shocks?
Thanks!

Start with sub-frame connectors. Tightens car up, gives it a better feel for the road. Then inspect front and rear suspension, see what condition it is in. As for ride, with 59000 miles, it probaly needs shocks and struts. Comfort factor is different for these cars, remember its a sports car and designed more for handling than comfort. Use search in this forumn, much info there. Badman

SFC's paired with good shocks and struts, if theyre original they were dead long ago. Go Bilstein or Koni.
Might need to freshen up the front with some new parts, or at least a good inspection and grease job.

most worn on ur car is prob, shocks/struts/ springs/ bushings etc, id look into that, subframes will tighten the car up but wont do crap if u dont have the rest in shape altho its a good mod.make sure its all aligned as well and everythings in good working order, my ex used to drive a liberty and yea its gona be a huge change for u.

Check all the bushings and ball joints and all that funs stuff. Shocks and struts will help the ride. Just don't cheap out on them.
