Need quick answer on torque are mount

I need an answer today so I can fix it tommorrow (I get off tommorrow). I just replaced my transmission mount and u-joints and I still hear a clunk when I shift. My tranny is an automatic 4-speed connected to a 2.8. The car is an 89. So I went under my car to investigate the clunk and I happened to grab my torque arm on the tranny and it shifted so I found my problem by accident. It moves up and down pretty easily. What do I need to replace on the torque arm mount. Where it mounts on the axel is in good shape. I figured it was just the bushing.

Also what all would I have to take off to fix it. Is it as simple as just a few bolts or do I have to take my torque arm off?

Re: Need quick answer on torque are mount

You'll have to find out what's broken first. The mount is attached to the tailshaft of the tranny. Is the mount broken? Are the mount bolts broken? Is the bushing worn out?

The mount is fine. The bushing is what is shot.

Buy a new polyurethane bushing and replace it.
