Alston SFC's and Fuel lines

Alright, did a mock up of the fitment of the alston sfc (sub frame connectors) and they fit like a charm on the pass side. On the driver side they fit in good, but I just noticed that the fuel lines are right next to both subframe endings. WTF. How can you weld there, I sure as heck would not feel comfortable welding around fuel lines.

Am I paranoid?? What did you guys do?

move the lines and cover them with a welding blanket then move them back.

Re: Alston SFC's and Fuel lines

I am a bit worried since a shop is doing them. However, at this shop I know the people, and they always give me a helmet when they weld my exhaust or do any work so that I can watch.

So, thanks for that, I just could not think of anything to do since I am not a welder (wish I was) and don't know much about it (wish i did).

Thanks.
