front springs

i put in lowering springs off ebay which suck and did nothing in the front so i think im just gonna go back and cut my stock front coils. so my question is for any one that has done this in the past, how many coils would you recamend to cut out for a good drop thats not to rediculous.

also i was wondering if anyone has expirience with wheels that are 16x9s and about how big of a wheel spacer i should go with for fronts and backs.

any info would help thanks

Re: front springs

Before you go thru with cutting your stockers, did you index the front springs right. The car will sit way high if not. There are two holes in the control arm that the end of the spring needs to be between.

Re: front springs

Trial and error. Cut 1/2 a coil at a time until it sits where you want it.

Re: front springs

your stock springs are probably wasted, thats why the lowering springs appeared to do nothing.

Re: front springs

ya i did that but i think that company that made the springs ****ed up cus they have a wide base so i dont think they sit right especially cus i have done it like 3 times to make sure its right but no luck, the lowering springs made it the same hight as before but i parked it next to another rs with stock springs and my car sat a little higher, so i dont know still thinkin about cuttin them
