strut mount holes off from strut mount bracket
i purchased new strut mounts from GM but when i tried to install them the original bracket that has the 3 threaded studs on it wont fit. the horse shoe needs to be bent in by about half inch to 1/4 inch. i cant find new brackets at GM or after market. am i the only one who has this problem and what should i do about it?

GM changed the bolt pattern at some point during the years. You could try to find used parts to fit your mounts.

thanks for the response, i found where to search the forums and there are plenty of posts on this. i will investigate spohn and junk yards for the later style strut bracket.

Should you need more info:

I suggest the bone yards for the part, but they're also available from Spohn.

i went with Spohn. $25.00 for both plus $9.97 for shipping. reasonable enough for laser cut steel with S/S washers and nuts. sure a bone yard would be cheaper but then the parts need to be blasted and painted, so i took the easy way out.

I bought mine from the bone yard for $10 and painted them with some leftover POR-15. Whatever works, right?
