STB For the LO3 TBI??

Well, I am looking for a STB for my car. I have seen alot for the TPI cars, but I am at a loss for one for my LO3. I think I have seen the edelbrock one used on TBI cars with smaller air cleaners, but I have never seen one on a car with the stock air cleaner.

Another thing is, I need one that will use the strut mounting studs and nuts. I dont want to drill the strut tower sheet metal. So basically a two point STB that is a true bolt on would be nice. Anyone know one?

The Edelbrock piece will clear the factory air cleaner, used to have it before I swapped to TPI. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think anyone has a brace that uses the strut mount/adjustment bolts.

Edelbrock is the only one that I am aware of for a LO3. That is what I'm running. I wouldn't worry about drilling the mounting holes...it is no big deal.

Thanks for the pic! That edelbrock bar looks like it does a pretty good job of stiffining the front end up. Did you notice any difference?

Also, would someone with basic mechanical skills be able to intall it? Does it come with all the necessary hardware?

It comes with all the brackets and hardware. If you can hold a drill steady and use basic hand tools you should be good to go.

Yes it comes with all the hardware. All you need is a drill and some hand tools. It is very easy to install. I noticed a difference but I also installed and Spohn Wonder bar and poly swar bar bushings as well as poly end link bushings.

Yeah, I'm running the Edelbrock STB too. It's a pretty straightfoward install. Not too hard & yes, it does come with all the hardware. I too, also felt an improvement on steering response after installing.

It does look nice. I bought the EXACT same brace you got in that picture, but I havent installed it yet since I'm going to do the entire front suspension at the same time. Anyway, could you post or Pm a pic to me that shows the bracket where it meets the cowl. I was looking at mine mocking it up and it didnt look right to me. Kinda looked like the put the bracket upside down on mine.

Re: STB For the LO3 TBI??

I've had mine for about three years. I love this thing. If I drive the car without it it feels loose and unstable to me when I drive. I can't imagine not having it.
