need help to choose lowering springs??

Hi there...

Was thinking of upgrading my stock springs on my 87-Camaro Sport Coupe..
Have a 305 in it...

I have been looking for a while on several brands that sells lowering springs...But I need some help of what is good springs for a resonable prize..

I don't need the biggest quality on the market but just some improvements that that makes my car a little more "stiff" and a little improved handling..

I have seen this Eibach Sportline kits..They're about 230 dollars...
think that is a little to much since I also have to pay pretty much for the shipping to norway...

Intrax also have some springs...They're about 200 dollars...

And then I see this Tenzo...they have some springs for about 100dollars
Are they good springs or what???

I also found this AG Kit with springs for only 80dollars
Is it possible that this could give tha car a better handling????

Need some tips so please feel free to come with answers...
Thanks..

Have you tried using the search function? I believe there are 2 or 3 threads about this topic that are each 2-4 pages long. I am planning on lowering my car too, but Im just going to buy moog replacements and cut them to lower it.

Some of those brands I havent heard much about at all. I have heard good and bad about Intrax as well as Eibach Sportlines. I personnally went with the Eibach Sportlines and I love them. Gives my car a great stance and it rides beautifully. I have no complaints about them at all.

Re: need help to choose lowering springs??

Ok...I guess I will go for Eibach since I've heard very much good about them..I am not going to use my car as Racing and stuff like that but a good street car and a daily driver is what I was thinking of...

The price on the Eibach lowering springs is not so very expensive either compared to prizes we have in Norway on lowering springs...
If I'm gonna buy from a brand or something here I have to pay about 900dollars only for the springs...

If i want shocks also I need to pay more...But that is if I want good aftermarket upgrading shocks and springs....

I find very good prizes at Ebay but my main problem is of course the regular problem..Can the seller ship to Norway...I guess my best deal would be to find a good dealer and see if he could ship for a reasonable prize to Norway..

Thanks for the ideas anyway....
What about shocks??...Should I go for Eibach there also or something else???

Re: need help to choose lowering springs??

If your car is just a daily driver / fun car, I have heard good things about KYB GR-2 Gas Shocks. I think stock size shocks should work with the Sportline Kit, but not too sure. If you autocross or drag race, there are all sorts of really expensive adjustable shocks.

Ok...KYB Gr-2 gas shocks you say??...Found them on ebay for a good reasonable prize...remember as I said my car is just a fun-car or you could say daily driver...I like to handle the corners good though...

The sportline kit would fit the GR-2 shocks right???...

I have the Eibach Sportline kit and it raised my car a bit. But thats good because it was to low and the stock springs were shot any ways.

Re: need help to choose lowering springs??

It raised your car you say??...Hmmm..That is not what I want it to do with mine...I want a lower look...Because I have also 18" wheels on so it would look better with less clearence between wheels and fender plus I want the front a little bit lower..But not to much though..The roads here in Norway are bad

I have stock shocks and springs on my car and now i think it is really time for a change..They are probably worned out...My car is bouncing a lot and it seems veery soft in corners...I think a good stock suspension should work better than this even though it is a car from 1987...lol

So instead of changing to aftermarket stock springs and shocks I will just go for something a little more better...
