Sheared off the lug studs. What to replace with?
At the track Fri. night I sheared off the pass. side lug studs and bent all 5 drivers side ones. I have a Moser bolt-in 9 inch with Moser axles. The studs were screw-in 1/2-20's. Really want to step up to 5/8-18 but won't be able to use acorn style lug nuts. That means I'll have to switch wheels. What are some of your 9 and 10 sec. cars running for studs?

I will personally say I would guess Moser is your problem. They have poor quality control on the alxe hardening.
As a guess, did the studs kind of pull and twist in the alxe flange when you say they bent on the one side?
I have a Moser alxe at home that was 1 1/2 years old and a wheel bearing SEAL (yes a rubber seal) grooved the alxe and it had to be replaced.
Moser is crap.
1/2" ARP studs should not break if properly torqued (never overtorqued, nor under tourqued either) and replace routinely if each year if constant tire changes are being made. THat goes for lugnuts also. You start getting into the 9 second range and they are breaking, then you should be concerned with dropping weight of the vehicle (this means any type of vehicle- weight is much more an enemy than HP.)

I just placed an order for the ARP's. Hopefully they won't fail.
