Quick Wheel Question.
I have a chance to get Z06 style wheels for a killer price.
They're 17x8's and the offset is 5-4.75.
Will these fit without any spacers, or rubbing at all? Thanks!

Re: Quick Wheel Question.
5 by 4.75 is the bolt spacing not the offset or backspacing. usually the corvette wheels require spacers

Re: Quick Wheel Question.
A corvette 8" rim will probably have around 6" of backspacing. This will push the wheel too far under the fenders on a third gen without some sort of spacer.

Re: Quick Wheel Question.
They're not exact Z06 wheels, just styled that way. My bad of the bolt spacing, the offset is 5. Here's a picture of the sticker on the box:

Will those fit under a third-gen?

Re: Quick Wheel Question.
I would say no based on what I see.
Backspace is the distance from the back of the rim to the mounting surface. Offset is the distance the mounting surface is away from the center of the rim.
That box says an offset of 5. You can't have 5" of offset on an 8" rim. If the offset is 0.5" then the rim has a backspace of 4.5" and should fit.
Rear rims are more concerned about backspacing for fit. Front rims especially on front wheel drive cars need to know offset more because when they turn, it will determine a lot of other factors.
