Bad ride after being on lift

This might sound strange but I just got my car back yesterday after having the transmission replaced and now the left rear of the car acts like it doesn't have any travel. It is really stiff and when I try to press the rear of the car down it barely moves. The passenger side seems fine. I jacked the car up and checked to see if the spring was seated right. I turned the spring a little to seat it in the pocket correctly but that didnt seem to help. Could it be something that happened when they removed the torque arm? It has air shocks in the rear and when I checked the pressure there wasn't any air pressure in them. I added about 40 psi of air to them but there isn't any difference. Anybody have an idea?

it sounds like a bad shock, remove the bottom shock bolt and see if it moves up and down like it should, you would have to do some crazy stuff to bend a shock on a lift so i kind doubt they did it, possibly just crapped out from being extended all the way

air shocks in the rear.....there's your problem. get rid of them and put on stockers.

I didn't even know that the rear shocks were air shocks until I looked. It never sat like the rear was high. I agree that they should be replaced but it seems strange that they would go bad right after getting the car back from having the transmission replaced. That is what was making me lean towards a problem with the torque arm. I haven't pulled the rear shock yet but will give that a try.
