60 foot help...yes i searched need opinions

Right now I am thinking of buying the Spohn adjustable torque arm over the winter and installing that in hopes of getting better 60 foot times. Right now I have the edelbrock non adjustable torque arm in my house that i bought for $50 off of a buddy in my hometown.
Tires on the car are M/T ET streets 26" on 16x8 wheels. Over the winter I will be getting an edge 3500 stall converter and I have a set of Motive 373 gears that will be going in. I bought a set of LCARBS and tried installing them but had problems, so I took them off. LCA that are on right now are Lakewood. I am looking to get 60 foot times from low 1.6x to (at the worst) low low low 1.7's.

What does the car do now?

What did it do with the LCARBs?

What is its height compared to stock?

get the relocation brackets welded on at the same time the gears get done. Really it's a matter of weight of the car and stall speed/gearing/traction/hp to determine what it will 60'

what does the car do now? Its not bogging, but i dont think i am spinning....friends that came to the strip said i wasnt spinning too badly

what did it do with the LCARB's? Never got to install them completely....torque arm and driveshaft wanted to fall out of the rear end when I tried to put the LCA in the LCARBS.

What is the height? Stock height....has not been lowered

Gears and a stall are going to help you tremendously. Talk to one of the big tranny companies and get the perfect stall converter for your combo. I think sub frame connectors are a must.

Stall speed is best decided by the converter manufacturer. Who would know better than them which if thier converter's would be better for you? The converter and gears will make a big difference in 60', shocks and springs are another major tuning item. A stiff anti-roll bar is a plus for keeping all things equal. Lakewood lca's are as good as any others for drag racing. The adjustable tq arm is another great tuning aid. LACRB's deffinitley help tuning. you should have no problems getting to 1.6 short times, I've done it on 17"er's.
