I know that this has been covered in the past, but I realy want to know guys who are running a front coil over system what do you think?

I just installed a spohn pro drag front coil over system on my street strip 87 firebird (street to the track and road test runs) and I do not want any problems.

People that do not even have this set up are salways saying the towers will not support the weight. I want to here it from someone who has this suspension.

I am also thinking of welding extensions to the spohn underside 1/4" support plates to also include the holes for my strut tower brace, what do you guys think, is it needed.

ive got the pro-tour setup, ive got a 3pt solid mount strut tower brace with bolts going through the reinforcement plate, it seems to be plenty strong, though ive not had the setup long.

 

I have PA Racing and no problems.

its the "street" setup, the car is primarily a street car, unfortunately ive only drive then car about 20 minutes since i installed the kit, now its snowing
