Damn, that seems a bit high. Would I be correct in assuming you want Koni shocks? If so, you can buy them online for around 800 I think. You could put them in yourself or find a shop that would install them for a cheaper price, I can't help you there.

Leon,

You don't mention what brand name the shop (or you) want. If we're talking general replacement, then, the cost isn't a bit high, it's simple highway robbery. Check prices at http://www.shox.com/
My Koni Reds were around $600.

Re: 1200.00 for struts n shocks

$1200 will get you a set of KONI Yellows and Ground Control Weight Jacks....

So, if they are talking about standard replacemt shocks, they are insane. Even if they are talking about KONIs or Bilstein HDs, that's still an insane amout for shock strut install. $400 for installation of just shocks/struts??

If you are in or near north east Tennesse, PM and I'll give you directions to our shop and install em for $100 and have you out in 3-4 hours lol.

The yellows can be had from hotpart.com for about $665 shipped... if the shipping is still included in the price like it was when I ordered my fronts.

That's $750 + shipping. HotPart sales them for $665 shipped...
I've not tried to buy them from KONI directly, but I don't think there is a difference between buying from a certified KONI vendor and KONI.

generally, as a private party, buying direct from a manufacturer will almost always cost more that buying from a distributor

shox.com has the Koni sports (yellows) and the pro-kit combo for $815. The yellows alone are $700 the reds are $600 and the Bilstein HD's are $643. $1200 sounds like you are being taken for a ride with out any shocks.
