lug nuts

Just wondering what size socket fits them...I have a few impact sockets and I'm going up to where my car is stored to remove the wheels for sanding and polishing and would hate to drive all the way up there and not have the right socket with me...I was thinkin 3/4 but im not sure. Thanks

Re: lug nuts

Take a bunch of sockets. My guess is 13/16"

What about the tire wrench for the spare tire?

Re: lug nuts

Probably will be the same. They should both have 12mm wheel studs. Don't use impact tools on chrome wheel nuts. It cracks the chrome and they'll start to rust. The wheel nuts on my truck were new back in 1986. I've had rims off numerous times and the nuts still look new. The truck is always parked outside and driven 12 months of the year. Never used an impact and always torqued them back on.
