Steering Box Fitting Size

I do not need to know the size on the pump i already know what i need there.

I'm wondering if its standard or metric? 16mm or 18mm? 5/8-18in?

I cant use the factory line with my summit pump so i figure i can make a braided hose setup using -6AN. I can get a fitting for the pump but i need to know the size on the box.

Thanks.

Re: Steering Box Fitting Size

Metric 16 and 18mm. Aeroquip and a few others sells the proper adapter fitting to convert to AN hoses.

Re: Steering Box Fitting Size

the fitting on the steering box on my car were 16mm1.5 with o-ring and 18mm1.5 with o-ring

what are you using for hose? I used russel powerflex or whatever and am having a heck of a time getting them to seal completely. russel/edelbrock blows!!!
