Re: help suspension going?

If the car's stock, then the suspension parts are 20+ years old. Could be anything. Perhaps time has come for some upgrades.

Re: help suspension going?

Start with decent struts and shocks (maybe springs), then start asking questions and reading the advice given in this forum.

Re: help suspension going?

the noise you here is the sway bar links the rubber will come apart and allow the washers to hit together like tamborings i know this from experence that is most likely your problem

Re: help suspension going?

It's the sway bar bushings, most likely. While looking under the rear end of your Camaro, have someone push the rear a little. (Maybe bump it with their hip a couple of times.) When the car's moving from side to side, if the sway bar bushings are jumping and moving a little in place (you'll hear it), then that's your problem. Easy fix. They come less than ten bucks a piece, I believe.

Re: help suspension going?

if you replace the front you need to do the back as well you can get by cheap and just buy the bushings and the washers and reuse the bolts but i wouldn't, also use the polyurthyne not the black rubber it has a tendcy to compress and you keep having to tighten them till you run out of thread on the bolt then they arnt really doing anything, autozone usually has the energy suspension items that are really good
