Different tire sizes for front and rear...
How bad will this look?
Front: 235/60-15
Rear: 255/55-15
I can't go wider in the front, because the tires will rub the swaybar, so I'm going to leave those the stock size. Will the rear tires, being 3/4" wider and .03" shorter look bad on the stock 15" wheels?
The state says I need new rubber, since I've had the current ones on there since 1996...

Re: Different tire sizes for front and rear...
think i'd try to go 275/55 on the back. seems to look pretty good even on a 7 inch wheel.
don't think you or anyone else will notice that .03.
my mom has you beat. her 70k mile 86z JUST got rid of the stock OEM gaterbacks
talk about it riding like a new car again.

I personally wouldn't go any wider than the 255s on the 15x7s. And I don't think it would look bad, but I think you can find 255/60s that will be closer. It will however throw off the speedometer slightly and you won't be able to rotate the tires.... so make sure your allignment is good.

Welcome to reality fella's, good luck finding the elusive 55 series tire eh?
And yea, different front/rear sizes is pretty common, and looks great.

Wow.... I just realized how long you guys have had the same tires... I've had my car for a little over 4 years, and I've have 2 sets of Cooper Cobras (first set was on the car when I got it, and then replaced them with the second set), one set of BFG g-Force Sports in 245/50ZR16, then a set of Bridgestone Potenza G009s (winter tires for the stock wheels), and then my current set of g-Force Sports in 275/40ZR17.

Well, I drive it about 700 miles a year. That might have something to do with it...
