People with Coil Overs, Please coment

I'v been searching but have really come up with a definitive answer. So I want people who have been running coil overs to share their experiences with them. In particular I'm looking a the Sphon Pro Tour kit. I already have Koni 'reds' so I want to stick with them.

My car will be a weekend race car(Auto x I think you call it in America) with a bit of club cruises and limited street use.

I was going to run my konis with Eibach pro kit springs but if I'm going to spend $300 on the Sphon strut mounts and $245 on the springs I could just spend the $595 and get the col over kit. I would just have to use the standard rear springs until I decide what to do at the back.

You can get the ProKit for less than that (ebay, shox.com, etc). Or you can custom order springs to your specs from several companies. Also, J&M (hotpart.com) offers a nice set of mounts comparable to Spohns for less. I don't have any experience with the coilover kit so I can't help you there. Maybe someone else will drop in for that.

Re: People with Coil Overs, Please coment

I might be able to find the springs and adjusters for a decent price in Australia that would work. I just like the plate that goes under the strut tower in the Spohn kit. Maybe I should see if they will sell it separately. That would save on shipping to.

I still might just go with the Eibach springs because the coil overs are to much of an unknown. I can also see having a hard time registering my car with coil overs. But if people who have them think they made a big difference in handling I'd go for them.
