Re: coil spacers?
are your current springs stock? if so they are sagging really bad by the sound of things. Why 'band-aid' this problem? pick up a set of new iroc springs from spohn for like 125 bux and be set. Or if its nota drag car, some ebiach prokits springs, they will raise the rear of your car if im picturing this correctly.
what size tire are you running
pics?
BTW first gens have leaf springs in the rear, no coil spacers there.

Re: coil spacers?
I would jus roll the fender & save the money. Cause if they are not sitting right they might just come shooting out ilke a bullet & cause damage to something else. There will be alot of pressure & your coils may bind. Just my oppinion.

Re: coil spacers?
Also, if you raise the rear, you'll need and adjustable panhard bar, just like you need one when lowering.
I have seen spring spacers designed for 3rd gens on ebay.
I would replace your springs if they are old 1st, then see if you'll still need the spacers.
