Well me and my friend were driving home after school today, and we seen a 1st gen firebird that was jacked up in the rear, and i said i would like to do that to my car cause my tires rub (i know, i will be rolling my fenders soon) and he said they were only coil spacers, does anyone know where i can get them?

Re: coil spacers?

I think most parts stores carry them, I wouldn't really recomend them. Its just an easy fix & not the right fix.

Re: coil spacers?

are your current springs stock? if so they are sagging really bad by the sound of things. Why 'band-aid' this problem? pick up a set of new iroc springs from spohn for like 125 bux and be set. Or if its nota drag car, some ebiach prokits springs, they will raise the rear of your car if im picturing this correctly.

what size tire are you running
pics?

BTW first gens have leaf springs in the rear, no coil spacers there.

Re: coil spacers?

I would jus roll the fender & save the money. Cause if they are not sitting right they might just come shooting out ilke a bullet & cause damage to something else. There will be alot of pressure & your coils may bind. Just my oppinion.

Re: coil spacers?

Also, if you raise the rear, you'll need and adjustable panhard bar, just like you need one when lowering.

I have seen spring spacers designed for 3rd gens on ebay.

I would replace your springs if they are old 1st, then see if you'll still need the spacers.

The springs in the rear are rather new, i have 275/50-r15 bfg drag radials, it doenst sag, i just like the looks of it being jacked up a little bit, also its a third gen, i just SEEN a first gen jacked up and liked it.
