steering box on 1990 5.7
all,
I was adjusting my steering box at the hex bolt on the top of the box. I loosened off the lock down nut, backed off the hex bolt and it broke.
Now I have 1/2 a hex bolt and a backed off steering adjustment. what a mess
I called GM they say I have to buy a new unit there is not replacement parts to the box.
anyone know if I can use another used same gen steering box to replace the hex bolt? if so does it have to also be an FE2/F41 optioned unit or can I use any box?
I thought it might need FE2/F41 optioned box as the GM parts guy says that hex bolt goes right thru to the pit man arm.
thx in davnce for your help
