MT sportsmans vs et streets

Currently have sportsmans on my car 29x12.5. How much better would et streets be on the road? I'm shreddin em with only 3 psi.

I ran sportsman pros for a few years. Never below 16lbs of air. Et streets hook better. But suck in the rain.

any pics? i put a 29x12.5 on my car and it looked like a woods truck.
on another note, if you suspension is working right, the tires are a nice piece.
i ran several sets of 28x10.5's and they worked really well.
3 psi in the tires is asking for a train wreck. you really need at least 12psi in the tires, depending on the vehicle weight.

Re: MT sportsmans vs et streets

They stick out a little bit. The tread is under though. I also have a 9" and its 1/2" narrower than the stock rear. They have a 13.1 width, the same size et streets are 12.4 IIRC.

I have solid control arms and tq arm. shocks are old stockers. tire pressure is up around 30 I think. My pinion angle is also off.

When I said 3 psi, I meant boost, but its actually around 4. Making around 550-600 flywheel hp.

Stage are you using gen III engine?

Re: MT sportsmans vs et streets

30 psi is your issue. they need to be in the 13-18psi range.
i ran mine at 15-16 most of the time on the street, and 18 at the track.

Re: MT sportsmans vs et streets

Well, I'll bring it down to 18 and see how it does. It was leaving a good footprint when I burned out, so I didnt think it was an issue.

They also spun when I wacked it in third, at low speeds, or when I downshifted into second, so I didnt think any wrinkle effect would help either, since I didnt think I was really shocking the tires very hard.
