Does anyone know anything about these companies?
Does anyone know anything about these companies?
I need to replace my tie rod end and adjusting sleeve and also my ball joints in order to get an alignment is what i was told so i'm about to order parts. At autopartswarehouse they have two brands MOOG Chassis Parts and MevTech. Is MevTech a good brand (being the cheaper of the two) or is it worth it to get MOOG Chassis parts? I'd rather get a good quality part that won't fall apart if i'm paying for it. I don't want to have to pay for three shitty cheap parts when i should have just got the one that was 15 dollars more...
Also one more question. On the adjusting sleeve there was a third option in brands but it changes in price difference as where the first two brands are around 20 dollars, the Hotchkis Tie Rod Adjusting Sleeve is 80. If anyone has any experience with any of these brands your opinion would be greatly valued. Thanks

the ones from hotchkis, edelbrock, UMI, Spohn, ect are a far superior part. The moog or other stock style ones are cheap junk, they are just a rolled piece of steel that gets crushed together to hold things in place, the bolts bend, everything rusts up and in a few years time you have to hack them off and buy new again.
I would check out UMI or Spohn instead of hotchkis if you go that route, they are a bit cheaper and make very good parts.

So is there a website a majority of subscribers to this website go to? Autopartswarehouse worked with my Nissan but now that i have a car i care about i'd rather get things done right. I'll do a google search for those names too. Thanks for the help

A good place to buy parts from is Summit Racing. Very good service and prices. I usually get my parts in 2-3 days from ordering. I've ordered a few dozen parts from them and only had one problem not getting a part but they took care of me right away. Highly reccommended.
