Little loose in the front end

I was looking at some of the steering parts under my GTA this morning looking for something that was causing a little slop in the steering wheel. Tie rod ends were good and tight. I did notice one ball joint, if that's what it's called, on the end of the steering arm comming off the steering box. Is this ball joint replaceable or do I need to replace the rod that connects both tierods to the steering arms. Maby there called pitman arms on these cars, I don't really know. It looks like the joint can be removed from the arm off the box but it looks pretty perment in the bar. Thank's

Phil

EDIT: I see now that it is called a relay rod and the ball joint I am talking about is the one that attaches it to the pitman arm off the steering box.

Re: Little loose in the front end

Even if just one little pivot point has slop it will cause problems. You will need to bring the car up to perfect maitenance in the steering links before having it aligned.

That's the plan. Hope to get it all fixed this weekend.
