Which roll bar fits better?

Which off-the-shelf bar kit fits the best, Comp. Engineering or S&W?

No matter which one you choose be prepared to fit the ends closely for a sung fit for better welds.

Re: Which roll bar fits better?

I'm installing a S&W Sportsman cage in my 87 IROC. I had to tweek the Halo bar a little for it to be level at the windshield and main hoop. I plan to make some changes to the rear down bars to distribute the torque and flex to the full length of the car

I plan on fitting it properly before it gets welded in. Just wondering which one was engineered better.

Re: Which roll bar fits better?

Just installed an S W mild steel 8 point kit. Everything went together easily. The only part of the install that was difficult was cutting and notching the Spohn door bars.

Re: Which roll bar fits better?

I've used Chris Alston, Comp. Engineering, and S&W. They all have been quality kits. The S&W kit fits my Camaro's body lines and has plenty of extra material for fit. This is my first S&W kit. The service is excellent and I will use them on any future projects.

Re: Which roll bar fits better?

i've see a few good threads on this site with pics from all kinds of cages. Most looked good in my opinion so most of the kits should fit close out the box but will need tweeked alittle for custom fit

I am gonna do a cage probly the end of this year. i'm already at 11.6's without trying to hard so i should break 11.4's soon and probly 11.3's once i get gears and such. I was thinking S&W or w/e spohn sells, they are located near me so i'll just drive there and pick it up
