anybody ever seen these before or heard anything about them? are they suppose to be better than a panhard bar?

SSM's product was very popular when it was being made. The guy selling it is a bit off on hi description. If I remember correctly, it doesn't replace the panhard rod at all. What it does do is replace the LCA's and adds a crossmember in the center of the car to attach them to. YOu can getthe idea by looking at the pics he has of how it sets up. THe control arms get welded onto the axle tubes, and then attach to the crossmember. One benefit of it is it also allows you to run fat tires if you tub your car at all because the LCA's will be farther inboard.

 

I have that kit on my car and when I bought them I was told to leave the lower controll arms in. The kit also came with sub frame con. that the cross bar tied into. I have been 1.40 60ft with drag radials but I will tell you i am trying to get the parts to put the torq arm back in the car.

 

Welded on to the rear end housing....Wouldn't change your pinion angle, all though the suspension travel?
