Fender Well rubbing?
I had Ed Miller's GTA wheel brake kit installed yesterday. It slightly pushed the wheels out, which is to be expected. The passenger side is fine. However, the driver's side rubs when turning the wheels. After doing some measurements, it seems the wheel on the driver's side is pushed further back in the wheel well than on the passenger side.
I have a feeling an alignment won't correct this. Does anyone have any ideas?
Yes, the car has been in an accident before, but I don't feel that is to blame.
At Ed's suggestion, i swapped the rear and front wheels. The different offset helped, but there is still rubbing.
I wanted to lower the car and add larger rims, but this won't be a possibility until this issue is resolved.
Thanks in advance!

My brother has a mustang i know bad comparison anyway it was in a wreck on the front end and the passenger side wheel is farther back in the well than the driver side but is still drives straight same problem you might take it to a collision repair place and have them stretch it some more... my
Re: Fender Well rubbing?
When I got my car the wheel rubbed the fender on the driver side when I turned left. The girl that had the car before me had hit a speed bump. I took it to a body and fender shop. They put it on the machine and pulled the wheel. Problem solved.

I changed lower control arms and that solved my problem. Car was a salvage title and although it didn't look bent to me, it must have been. Doesn't rub at all now. Found one for $25.

Re: Fender Well rubbing?
Interesting post, and timely. I am redoing the suspension on mine right now and the driver side tire rubs more than the passenger tire. I forget the tire size I put on there about 4 years ago but they are a bit taller and wider than stock, on stock rims.
Now that I've got it appart I see the driver side has been in an accident, right behind the headlight assembly it looks like someone welded the entire body support beam cause it looks pretty rough and has lava like bubbles on the surface.
I almost have the A-Arm off on the driver side, i'll have to sit them side by side to see if the driver one has a twist in it or doesn't look the same. The hood doesn't fit quite right either, I tried lining it up for nice gaps along the fenders and now it sticks and interferes with the headlight popping up.
