Shocks For 1990 IROC

Hello Everyone,

I just bought a 1990 IROC 5 Speed with 184K. I need to put some new shocks on it. I'm on a tight budget and was going to put on Monroe's from the local Goodyear shop. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I want to keep a comfortable ride. I was quoted about $400 for shocks & alignment. Does that sound accurate?

Thanks

Rip offf! You can do the shock replacement yourself real easy, as long as you have a jack, floor stands, and a cement/blacktop surface.

You can get a cheap set of shocks/struts for around $140. Maybe cheaper. An alignment should not cost more than $80.

just avoid KYBs they hit like a brick.
