Have some mods, which next?
Have some mods, which next?
I currently have a 1-piece 3-pt Kenny Brown strut tower brace, Spohn steering brace, & Spohn tubular weld-in sub-frame connectors.
An accident 3 years ago totalled my K-member and tweaked and A-arm. I plan on replacing the K-member with a Spohn tubular unit and Spohn tubular A-arms also.
My question about the k-member and a-arms are about the engine mounts and spring pockets. My LB9 is still running strong and I plan on it staying BUT if in a couple years I want to swap in an LSx, will changing the mounts be difficult and compramise the integrity of the k-member by cutting off the stock ones and welding the LSx ones on? I plan on road racing, not drag, so I'm unsure how the tubular K holds up to that.
I plan on installing Eibach Pros because I don't want to go as low as the Sportlines and I remember LPE used to sell Bilsteins for 3rd gens that were made just for lowered suspension. Are these Bilsteins still available? I don't see them on LPE's site anymore?
About the spring pockets, if I ever did want to go with coil-overs, is it now or never? Can the standard spring pockets be swapped for a coil-over setup later?
Lastly, my final mods I plan on being lowered tubular LCA's, TQ arm w/DS loops, & adjustable Panhard bar.

Well crap, lol.
I think I'll just buy this bad boy in gloss black for $1400 and use some Koni struts:

Check with Spohn on changing motor mounts.
Get LCA relocation brackets when you put in the Eibachs.

Re: Have some mods, which next?
Just a suggestion, checkout racecraft, their K members seem to be of nice quality too.
Re: Have some mods, which next?
OUCH!
The Racecraft K-member is $649 how I want it and the same from Spohn is $835!!!
Same deal with the tubular A-arms, $399 from Racecraft but $529 from Spohn.
Thanks for pointing that out!

Re: Have some mods, which next?
Honestly, I would just get a set of stock pieces, weld a plate on the bottom on the bottom of the a-arms for rigidity, install Del-A-Lum bushings from Global West and use the remaining $700 on KONIs.
