I am missing the bolt to my rear shocks...

I bought a set of lakewood shocks off ebay and the guy didnt ship me the bolt that connects the shock to the rear end. The bolts from the oem shocks wont fit so I was wondering if I can just use a regular hardened bolt from the hardware store? I am asking because the bolts that come with the shocks have some sort of plate on one end so I dont know if that is really important to have. If not then I dont see why I just cant use a standard bolt without that plate thing

Lowes and you can get some Grade8 bolts there. Just be sure its the same diameter as the hole in the shock/mount.
