I'm looking to grab a tire/wheel combo off eBay and it comes with Nitto NT555 tires mounted and balanced (255/45/17 in the front and 285/40/17s in the rear) on 17x8.5/17x9.5 ZR1 silver replica wheels. Price is $1160. Right now I have 245/50/16 Kumho ASTs all around on factory 16x8s. Primary concerns are wet/dry traction and treadwear. 350 TBI + 3.42 gears is easy to break loose but I drive the car every day in the city and sometimes the freeway.

 

I have heard some good things about the NT555's, except when used at the track. They are a good street tire from what I hear and I am prolly gonna use em on my TBSS once I get her back.

 

I've run mine for over a year & am really happy with them.

They handle very well & are good in the rain. I'm told they are not good in very cold weather (30's).... mine is in storage in the winter.

I'll be buying another set.

 

Luckily I don't have to worry about such low temps. I'll probably be buying these. 15 days until my $100 off eBay coupon expires. 15 days to whip a grand out of thin air. The race is on!

i have them on mine. great tires for street. took it to the track and they arent so great lol. they last a while too, been on for 3 yrs. still in the rain its alil iffy

 

I'm considering these for a daily driver to replace my Kumho ECSTA Supra's that got slashed.

I had 555r Drag radials on my DD in Rain and Shine. Did fine in my opinion. Just bought a new set also... Last set only lasted a year and a half
