8 Pt. Roll Cage & keep back seat?????
Has anybody out there made & installed an 8 pt. Roll cage that will pass NHRA rules & can still get people into the rear seats?? Do I need racing seats to try & do this (less bulky?) If so, anybody used racing seats that save some real weight but that are still comfortable??? Pictures would be great!!

It is VERY, VERY dangerous to put people in the back seat with a roll cage installed. That is why nobody makes a cage that retains the use of the rear seats.

Racing seats will be worse. Passengers would have to climb over the seats and go between them to reach the back since racing seats don't fold down and will also need to be attached to the crossbar. An 8 point roll bar will also have diagonal bars to the driveshaft tunnel making getting into the rear even more difficult.
If your car "needs" a roll bar or cage, you won't be using the rear seats for passengers nor should you be doing it. If you don't use the crossbar and diagonal bars so that passengers can get into the back then it won't be NHRA legal. Without all the proper bars, you're just adding extra weight for looks.

I have a roll cage that retains all the rear seats. I wanted the car to still look factory. I would never put anyone back there though. Here is a pick before I put the interior back in. I have all the factory seats installed. Just no pic's of them. I used a loop to connect the rear struts to the cage. It gives the car a very roomy feel.
