just ordered my new road race k-member
just ordered my new road race k-member
I should get my road race k-member this week. I pulled my old stock unit out saturday. Its was so easy to do especially with my new front motor plate and engine in place. All I did was unbolt the 2 ball joints and 6 k-member bolts and i think 3 brake line bolts and it just fell out. I will post some pics this week when it arrives. Should have it in this weekend and then on to my new downpipes will all my new found room.

I want to know who is getting it to you in 1 week? I thought these parts were usually made to order. Unless their local like Summit for me which has same day shipping?

I'm waiting on UMI as well. Like the Racecraft design, though. Might go with their road race/LS1 conversion when I do the swap
Re: just ordered my new road race k-member
It should show up tuesday. It got held up in powder coating a few days. Here is a shot with the k-member out and one of my new dart 406

Re: just ordered my new road race k-member
looks great.
are the bullets in place of the cats? or are they behind the rear axle?
they look like they are where the cats should be but look awfully small

Re: just ordered my new road race k-member
they are in place of the cats. My old exhaust was a single 4" that merged from twin 3" at the firewall area and I ran a 4" bullet and the sound was perfect with the turbos. With my new k-member and no engine mounts I was able to go out and around the frame rails never having to go under them or under the tranny crossmember and loosing all that clearence.

Re: just ordered my new road race k-member
Just went to check racecrafts road race version and I dont see it on their site anymore? Do they still offer it or did they just make it the official version for 3rd gen users. Let me know I am doing a little comparison test. Post the URL as I just cant seem to find it in their k-member section. Thanks.

Re: just ordered my new road race k-member
its not listed on the site but they due make it. It has an aditional brace that ties the loop into the mounts that run up agaist the frame rale.
Its a very nice piece and much sturdier then the others out there imho.
I took another look and the first picture you can just make out the brace that runs from the loop to the frame rail area. The second picture it does not and that would be the non RR version of course.

Thanks, just wanted to know. I plan to buy their RR version in the future, probably a good 2-3 years from now...haha, I need to stop planning ahead. Anyway thanks again.
