should i remove my insulators

should i remove my insulators

im going to put n my 1" lowering springs in should i just remove my insulators or keep them. what is the benifet of doing this or leaving them in i have read on searches ppl just replace them with greese and fuel line rubber thank you in advance

The front insulators are very thin, perhaps a 1/4 of an inch. Sticking radiator hose on the rears will drop the rear about a 1/2 inch. Benefit? They're insulators--and as such, separate the metal of the springs from the metal of the spring pockets. Generally a good thing.

thanks man i would just read ppls post and theyre about 50/50 mix about what they do so i was just asking i think im just going to leave them in

The back of my car went up too much for my liking when I went with the new (4th gen) style rear spring isolators. I am thinking of taking them out for the heater hose but I'm still on the fence about it.
