Manual Steering Gear
Manual Steering Gear
Hey guys anyone used a manual steering gear from a s-10? Going though part books I found one that bolts right up to my 85 firebird. The question I have is do I need any different pitman arm. It bolts up ok I just don't know if the geometry is corrrect. Anyone done this before?

Re: Manual Steering Gear
many people have done this swap before. I have a manual box that I am trying to sell. It is a borgeuson box made for third gens, it comes with a pitman arm made just for it. It was expensive when I bought it but i will let it go for a lot less. Lemme know if you are interested in it. PM me. Later.

Re: Manual Steering Gear
84+ S10 manual steering boxes are a direct bolt in. The pitman arm is a slightly different length so you should use the third gen pitman arm to keep the same steering geometry.
