hard thumping
when I floor it in my 89 formy 350, it thumps the floor coming out of the hole and also at every shift. I did put in a TPIS torque arm and panhard rod and now I noticed this shifting problem. What could it be? Did I do something wrong. Both pieces are rod ended and not bushing. It is violent enough to be uncomfortable and it sounds like a really strong dude is kicking underneath my car at every shift. I'm dumb so help me please.

Re: hard thumping
Cool, thanks for the info, but two things. Where should I get a good aftermarket mount from? Second, is there maybe, possibly, anything else it could be? If I replace the mount, and have the same problem, what would be the next thing to look at? And thanks for helping a dumbie.

Re: hard thumping
it will be quite obvious if the mount is broken. Jack the car up, get under the trans tail shaft and push up, if the trans moves freely, its busted.
Prothane makes a good poly mount.

Probably a busted trans mount.
