Possible clearance issues

Would going up to a 17" or an 18" IROC rim with a 1" to 1.5" drop on an 89 IROC cause any problems? Thank you.

i've heard that 17's with a 245/45 tire have no problems. Where you getting the rims from?

Re: Possible clearance issues

I have not done enough research to know where I will be purchasing the rims. I know I want to stick with the IROC look though. I will probably end up using Eibach 1" drop and 17s to play it safe. I really want to keep a stock look but fill out the wheel wells and give it an aggressive stance. I noticed you have Magnaflows, how are they? I was thinking of putting in Flowmasters with a high flow cat. I'd like an extremely aggressive rumble. Your thoughts? Thanks for your input 89ROC-Z

Re: Possible clearance issues

if 245/45R17s fit, I would think that 245/40R17s would fit as well. They are almost exactly the same size diameter/width.
