Front Spring Rubber ?Retainer?
Hi all, I'm replacing the springs on my 89 Z and noticed that there is this rubber circle thing that sits on top of the springs. What is it called, what does it do, and can you still buy new ones? Are they even necessary?

They are the front spring insulators. You'll need them because without them you'll have metal on metal and that dosn't sound to good. I had to go to the GM dealership to get them nobody else had them, I think they were $20 for 2. Just tape them to the spring when you put them in to keep them in place and you'll be good.
