not a normal steering box leak
I rebuilt my steering box and it works fine except......the snap ring that holds the pitman shaft seal keeps popping out allowing the seal to blow out. I've been driving it for a few weeks with no problem then last night the seal blows out. Any ideas? I'm thinking about using some sealant on the seal itself before replacing....maybe a better/bigger snap ring

Re: not a normal steering box leak
I think I got it now.........the snap ring supplied in the rebuild kit is smaller than the origional. The origional fits much better...duh
