What Springs To Lift My 90 RS?
What Springs To Lift My 90 RS?
I'll probably catch hell for this but I want to lift the front of my camaro higher. My ride height right now is 26" from the ground to the fender lip and I like to raise it up a few inches, I'm looking at moog springs but I'm not sure which one is right for what I want I'm thinking 5610. I have a V6 auto trans and a/c.The tires I'm running are 235/60R15 tires on 15x7 rims. Stiffness doesnt matter to me. I've heard of people lowering these cars but I've never seen one lifted higher. I'm going off of this website for my spring info http://jeffd.50megs.com/Moog_Spring_Page.htm

Now I got it narrowed down to 5610 and 5608. I think I'm going to install the 5608 moog shows that there the heavy duty version for my car and it should put it higher then what I have now.

just doing a stock replacement will lift the car back up. these cars in their newest form are 17 years old, these springs are ragged and have drooped over time. no doubt you'll regain stock ride height.
the 5600 is a stock replacement, the 5608 is a HD version. you'd be fine with either in my opinion as they'll both have the same installed height. for whatever reason, the 5608's are cheaper though.
you could go to a 5610, which is the HD version for a v8 car. they'd raise the car up a bit.

Thanks for the reply's I think I'm going with the 5608, it does show the 5610 was used in 91 for a v6 with a/c and auto but v8's for the other years, I wonder why they only used them for one year in a v6? I plan on taking pictures and doing a writeup for the install.

I bought the car thinking it was all stock, but if your measuring 26", I'm thinking twice. My car sits 28.125 level, on front and rear.

I compared my tires to the tires your running and it looks like mine are only a 1/2" taller then yours. I think 28" is the correct ride height for these cars. I'm almost positive that mine has been lowered. I will try and post a picture tomorrow, right now its raining and it might snow.
