Front end sits higher after engine swap???
I tore the stock LO3 out of my T/A last fall and the car sat in my barn for 4 months with no motor or transmission in it. Finally dropped in the new 357 about 3 months ago and i have been noticing that the front end still sits like it has no motor or transmission in it. The front end sits around 1.5-2" higher in the front then the rear? Is is possible the front springs are bad now and need to be replaced? Ill post pics with measurements when i get time today.

have you moved the car since the swap?
did you remove the springs?
does the new motor have aluminum heads or other weight reduction?

If you removed the springs at all or completely released them from pressure they might have rotated causing them to come out of proper indexing. Look in the bottom of the A-arm for 2 holes about 1/4" in diameter and in inch apart. The end of the spring should be between these holes.
Otherwise, I'd say they just need to settle down after having significantly less weight on them for a long time.

Re: Front end sits higher after engine swap???
Ive driven the car about 1,230 miles so far and yet they havent changed. We moved the car 2 times in and out of the barn when the motor was out. I will look at each a arm and see where the springs are sitting according to the holes. The engine had all of the A/C and SMOG removed, no more heater core bypass, and headers and an aluminum intak. But I dont believe thats enough difference in weight.
