Racecraft Kmember

Well I put my new K-member in from race craft and its beginning to look like the optional tow hooks are going to interfere with my steering tie rods. Anybody else have this problem?

Re: Racecraft Kmember

why would you put tow hooks on the car? I didnt even know that was an option with their k-member.

Are you sure they will interfere? i would think that if they were designed for the car, they would clear the stock steering setup.

Re: Racecraft Kmember

do those optional "tow hooks" have 2 holes drilled in each one?
sounds like you got a k member with pinto rack/pinion mounts.
pics?

Re: Racecraft Kmember

Nope just a 4" wide x 2" loop welded on the the k-member.

I thought they were a good idea for strapping the car down when trailered.

Re: Racecraft Kmember

any pics?
sounds like youll have to chop them off.
id contact racecraft and tell them about the issue. maybe there is something they can do for you, or at least help out future customers.
they have great products and great support from my experience with them.

Re: Racecraft Kmember

Well just giving an update here. I contacted Racecraft earlier this week and sent them some pictures. They realized the mistake that was made and are sending me out a new k-member.

I will let you all know how the new K-member fits.
