koni yellow? or billys? where to order from?

Alright I'm sure someone has asked this many times before. But anyways.

I cant really decide which set I would prefer. I have billys on my bmw and I love them. But I'm kinda liking the idea of the adjustable dampers on the konis. and I'm looking for best performance out of my camaro without going coils.

So if you can post up your experience with them.

and also where you got them from. I'm looking for the best deal on either of them. thanks.

I have Bilsteins on mine (daily driver) and love them. Best price I found at the time was at Lingenfelter performance.

I think the right answer comes down to what you want to do with the car? If your planning on hitting the track Koni might be the best choice for adjustability, but for just spirited driving and daily use I think the Bilsteins will do just fine. They're both great products and I dont think you can go wrong with either.

I actually got Autozone to price match www.shockwarehouse.com on a week when they really wanted the sale. Current price for the Bilsteins is $736.60 with free shipping.

If anyone has a better price, I'm interested since it's about time to do another one of the cars.

You might investigated the following site (I purchased my Koni Reds from the company):

I bought all the suspension parts for my SAAB from here, great site.

I'd also like to throw in a vote for the Bilsteins. For SAABs, I've seen both Konis and Bilsteins and I thought the bilsteins had better quality control and much stouter construction.

If you like the adjustability feature, look into the Ground Control Weight Jacks. Unlike the standard lowering springs you get, they make adjusting the ride height simple & if you ever decide you need stiffer or sifter springs, replacements are only like $55! You are not "stuck" with the ride height the manufacturer decides you'll have. It is up to you, not them.

When it gets warm again, I'm going to lower my car again & thanks to the Weight Jacks, it'll be FREE!

Do a search for Camaro, not firebird. I don't know why they would have them listed for a Camaro and not a firebird, but they do.

They do & I knew that (i looked) but it was partially part of my point....Firebirds get the short end of everything! "See Camaro"

Why for the Camaros, don't you ever see "See Firebird"? If I had a business, I'd be tempted to do that, just because. But in reality, you make things easy on the CUSTOMERS, not on yourself.
