front strut tower brace..?
Just wanted to get information about strut tower braces, which ones are good, i've seen the edelbrock ones for example. However, i've got the accel ram air intake on my motor and I barely clear the hood, would the edelbrock one fit? or do I need to buy another brand and somehow modify it. Has anyone seen anyone with an accel ram air intake and a front strut tower brace? Hoping I don't have to swap out the hood for a ram air one if I want to install this not going to buy a 500 dollar hood for a 130 dollar part if you guys know what I mean please give me your input as always it is much appreciated and respected.

You may think my question is off topic, but it is not. How good are your strut mounts and what type do you have?
You need good solid aftermarket strut mount first before you will aid in any perfomance gain from a STB. Good solid strut mounts are a far better bang for the buck in performance handling. Without them, the STB is basicallly useless.

i agree with what vetruck said, that whould be done first.
secondly, i dont think any off the shelf STB will clear your intake. You might have to build your own.

Didn't think about that one I was just going to put the strut tower brace on good looking out can you recommend a good brand for my trans am. I'm a bit worried about creating my own strut tower brace. I thought the gta models came with a pretty good performance package on them I've only changed the shocks on the car.

It doesn't matter how stiff your chasis is when the struts mounts are giving them 1/2" of play all the way around, my J@m mounts made a hudge difference besides to need to fit the strut tower brace to the existing towers and strut mounts if you install the brace before the mounts you may find that you can no longer properly align the front suspension without it hitting the strut tower brace

Re: front strut tower brace..?
The BMR piece might help with the clearance issue.
