Suspension Weight Jacks
I have read some threads on the Ground-Control weight jack kits for spring supsension. It allows adjustment of ride height. I have gone to their websiste and talked with a sales person, but am still unsure of how they work in the standard spring perch positions.
Does anyone have some pics of some already installed?

Re: Suspension Weight Jacks
there are pics on this thread
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/susp...over-over.html
the rears are just thread adjusters that sire in the axle spring prech, below the spring, they have a large adjuster nut that the spring sits on, it spins up and down.
the front is a more conventional weight jack, except the bolt is inverted. the assembly sits on top of the spring up in the k-member, and the bolt sticks down. you can access is through the hole in the center of the a-arm with a 1/2" drive extension and ratchet. Spring pressure and the cars weight hold the assembly seated so nothing moves except the bolt when the car is sitting on its suspension, the bolts threads through the spring plate, and the plate goes up and down. Quite simple really, work well.

Re: Suspension Weight Jacks
thanks for the pics link. I had seen this but was thinking the adjusters were on the bottom perch front and back. I could not picture how these things set down on the "half-dougnut mold" on the a-arm. Now that I understand they adjust on top on front and bottom in back it makes more sense.
BTW, I was on the phone twice with Ground-Control and the person was not able to tell me anything that was not on the website. So I emailed and got an "out-of-box" email answer after I gave them the details of my car and driving conditions. So I am figuring I better know my spring rates before I order.
My plan is probably ~600/175 spring rates.

Re: Suspension Weight Jacks
I've heard alot of different #s from 1000 down to 500. I hope to get the opportunity to discuss with someone at Ground-Control to get their feedback. This is a slightly lightened car ... probably about 200lbs removed from the front

Re: Suspension Weight Jacks
Check my sig for my spring specs.
I bought them here on TGO used & the seller said they were recommended by Sam Strano. If you know the name, it'll make you question why everybody is going 800lb -1100lb springs!
I have zero complaints about them being "too soft". My car is used as a driver, not an autocross or road race car.
I'll try to get you pics of the rears, at least, tomorrow. Fronts are a bit hard to get pics of, since there isn't much visible, once they are installed.

Re: Suspension Weight Jacks
Jay @ GC recommended 950/200# ... guess that is what I'm going with. Hope it is right... Will update once I get them installed.
Thanks for the feedback

Re: Suspension Weight Jacks
thoose numbers sound better.... right around there the suspension starts to feel a little ruff but still tolerable, my kidneys hurt when i had the 1100 up front, how did you go about pulling 200lb off the front?

Re: Suspension Weight Jacks
this will be a "good" weather driver
, no heat, no AC, no wiper fluid, no reinforcement structure under the nose or doors, alum. radiator, alum. heads. Back seats were removed, but I have put them back in for now.
