This coming summer I am going to lift the rear of my car to fit the tires I got for it. Anyone have any advice? Best options? Thanks in advance for any replies
new rear coil springs, stockers are saggin unless u replaced them recently.
the MOOG 5665s are about .5" taller than the stockers (when they where new). i have them on mine but i removed the isolator and cut a full coil off and they are still to tall for my.
depends on how much higher u want to go. if 4" fender gap in the rear isnt enough ur prob gona have to get some taller springs.
lifting the rear has almost the same affects as lowering. the wheels will become offset in the wheel wells, u will need an adjustable panhard bar to correct this. your also gona change the LCA angles and pinion angle.
how tall are the tires? u could get away with the moog 5665s and not have to worry about the stuff above. go higher than stock height (thats when they where new which the moog 5665 will give u + .5") and u will need adjustable parts.

4th gen spring isolaters will give you another 1/2"-1"

Hello, as other posters have suggested new springs and fourth gen isolaters will raise it and you can also do the heater hose mod and leave the isolater in. That will gain you another 1/2" or so.

simple air shocks would work, but raising the rear not only looks bad but is also horrible for traction.

What sized tires did you get? Wrong sized tires will throw off your speedometer reading, as well as cause fitment issues.

air shocks work great, just don't jack it up too high. I've got them on mine just to pick it up another 2" so the tires don't rub. With the stock springs the fenders sit on the tires (295.50.15's).
The ride quality sucks though, If that's of concern then i'd go for better springs and good shocks.

The last link appears to be for fourthgen front springs.Originally Posted by dvardaman85

I wouldnt use air shocks. I had them on my car and it was a big mistake. The ride was horrible. Having the rear raised also made the frontend wear out faster.
i dnt see why u would need to raise the rear that much to fit the tires. stock moog 5665s will rais the rear considerably. i still have 3.5" of rear fender gap and i cut 1 full coil off new moog 5665s, not to mention did the rear isolotator delete and used thin fuel hose as my isolator (only 3/16" thick maybe), my tires are 315/35/r17s.
