any input on axle change out or conversion.

Transmission: WC-T5, WC-T5, 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.45, 3.27, 3.27
I just did it. A 9-bolt 3.45 posi/disc from a 88 Iroc for my 10-bolt 2.73 open/drum rear. I got new parking brake cables too, but found out there was a change in the lever mechanism as well. The 88 had an adjustable rod for the connector saddle. My 90 had no such provision. I will have to change out the PB lever mechanism too. It will wait until my T5 swap, since it involves pulling out the seats & carpeting along with center console. Good luck, Lon.

I also just did this swap... alot depends on the years of the axles and cars. That can mean a little or a lot of work. Swapping the axle in/out is cake- the brakes take up the rest of the time.

What years are the axles/cars in question?
